Laura Da’
The Confluence: Art in Twisp is honored to welcome poet and teacher Laura Da’ to the gallery for an evening of poetry and community on Wednesday, April 16 from 5-7PM. Da’ is Eastern Shawnee and a lifetime resident of the Pacific Northwest who studied creative writing at the University of Washington and The Institute of American Indian Arts. She has served as Poet Laureate of Redmond, Washington and Poet Planner for King County, Washington. Da’ is the author of the American Book Award winning, Tributaries, Washington State Book Award winner, Instruments of the True Measure, and her upcoming work, Severalty. Da’s work highlights her deeply personal accounting of history, community, and selfhood.
