Abstract Patterns

This art class focused on building skills by understanding the Elements of Art and Principles of Design. We will gain inspiration working within the main gallery surrounded by the current exhibit titled "Pattern".

Using a compass, ruler, mixed media, and intuition we will explore the abstract elements: line, shape, space, rhythm, repetition, movement and color in this relaxing exploratory project. A large part of making art is simply enjoying the creation process. Abstraction allows us to set aside realistic representation to focus on design and how elements interact with each other. Participants can feel free to experiment while playing with mixed media and acrylic paint. No experience necessary, art making is for everyone!
